On our individual journeys we are all guided into the new. At the time, it might not seem like guidance, and yet as you look back on where you have come from, you will see all the divine inspiration that lit up your particular experience to move you into YOU.
In my case, I always wanted to write a novel. I had taken some classes in college and worked with some fine writers, but the rules, to me, seemed out of date and contrived. I finally decided to just write the story I wanted to read. That freed me up and allowed me to move past any and all guidelines and rules that were standing in my way. And to help me do that, I put all those voices in a jar and then put the lid on it. I left it there on my desk where I could see it but not hear any of it. And then I wrote.
I felt like I was watching a movie as I wrote my book, because the characters arrived and then took over the story. I’d never learned that they could do that, but mine certainly did. It was like they’d been waiting for their opportunity to tell their story, uninterrupted. I loved these characters. They came to be my friends during the time I wrote, so much so that one of my actual friends complained that she didn’t get to see me much. But I had to prioritize writing in order to get it done. It went to the top of my to-do list, and every day, there I was at my computer working.
Another thing that happened—and no writing teachers had ever mentioned this either—was things that I wrote about began to happen to me.This was surprising, and I wondered about it. But as a result, I became a very careful writer. No one was harmed in my story. As I look back on this, I see it was the beginning of learning how we manifest and how we create our worlds—by our thoughts and actions. When you first discover this is possible, you become giddy. At least I did. For example, in Dance of the Jaguar, the main character learns how to manifest chocolate. This was based on my own experience of wanting truffles one day right after I moved to Oregon. I went to the local small grocery store to see if they had any, and all they had was candy bars. I said, to myself, I really want some Fannie May truffles. At that very moment, the door of the store opened and in walked the UPS driver. He handed me a package. I was super surprised he had found me in the store, as I had just moved to Oregon. I asked him how he knew I was there. “Oh, I saw your car outside,” he replied. As it turns out, he had delivered a couple of packages to my house and my car had been parked in the driveway. Welcome to small-town living. Next I wondered who had sent them. As it turns out, they were from a close friend in Minnesota. But what are the odds of making a wish and having it happen, presto? I wanted to know more about that.
So in my book, the character goes to a mystery school to learn what she needs to know. It seemed like the best way for me to learn, too. And wow, we both learned. As I said, the characters showed up ready to share and I soaked up the information like a sponge. In fact, after I wrote the book, I had to read it seven times to take it all in. So I didn’t know that would happen either. One old rule of writing is: write about what you know. Well, I was writing about all kinds of stuff that I didn’t know. For me, that kept it very exciting.
On this journey we learn that we have to go beyond everything we have learned, everything we’ve been taught, every limitation we’ve accepted, every rule we’ve been given about how things are and how things have to be done. Those go right out the window. The whole old world goes right out the window.
The only way to have a new world is to make it from the ground up.
I started this piece by telling you how much we are guided. So I wanted to write a book, I sat down and wrote one, and writing the book opened up a whole new world that was very exciting to experience. I had created a school in Mexico that the main character went to, and I thought, it would be fun to have a school like that. Soon readers of the book began saying they wanted to go to that school. When I told them it didn’t exist, they all said the same thing: start it.
Now I never planned to start a school, but a friend said, just teach one class. So I taught one class, and everyone who came to it said, now give another one. Twelve years later, I’m still giving classes, sharing the information we’re receiving we go thru this enormous evolutionary shift.
And because I had a fear of public speaking, I had to learn how to do that. Someone suggested going to Toastmasters. I went to a meeting and was told I had to give a short speech, which triggered all my fears! But I did it. I went to a second meeting and gave another short impromptu speech, and this one was much better. People became engaged with what I talked about. Then I was told that there was a two-year program. Now I knew I didn’t have two years to do this, so I asked my unseen team for help. Everything I needed to know was downloaded into my awareness.
This is why I tell everyone I work with to ask for help. We will get so much help if we ask, whatever we need for our particular journey, for the work we are here to do. Ask. It’s one of the most powerful things we can do.
We are all guided, prodded, pushed, cajoled as we move into finding out who we are. It’s an incredible process, and all we have to do is let go of our resistance and fear and move into it. We don’t have to know all the answers, we don’t have to know our purpose. All we have to do is open our hearts to find out what’s taking place for us. That openness does wonders. It connects us with the magic. It moves us into our power.
We’re all here creating together, holding the light, anchoring the light, sharing our experiences with others. But maybe the most important thing we are doing is leading the way and showing the way by simply being our New Selves. That is some powerful energy, so powerful that people will come up to you and say they want whatever you’re having. They will ask you how to get there.
So hold the light, be the light, know that you are powerful beyond measure, ask to be shown how to use your power and Love yourself.
I want to close with a vision I had on the Solstice. I hadn’t made a plan for that day, I was guided to leave it open, but that evening, I had a spontaneous vision. I had made dinner, watched a new Xmas movie and then was guided to turn off the TV and just be in silence. Shortly after that I found myself transported into a space of unity outside of time and space, where I was joined with many other sisters and brothers of light. It was beautiful and I just let myself float there. And then we were singing, a beautiful melody, not one I know, but I knew it, and our voices carried out to the planet. It was like a song from angels. It felt like we were at an amazing camp. Light Camp. And we knew each other. There was a feeling of happiness and joy. It was worth every bit of pain and all the isolation we went thru to be able to connect like this. It felt transcendent. So I know now we are actually connecting with others in new ways. As we all clear our triggers, we are beginning to come together, and this will be in the physical realm soon.
Thank you, each of you reading this, all for all that you do. Thank you for being YOU. Thank you for creating the New Earth. Thank you for going past your own limitations into this big, wondrous, magical new space. We’re creating commUNITY now, so feel free to share your own experience in the comments. We can learn from each other.
Thank you Terry for all the inspiration you bring into my and others life.
Blessings

A particularly wonderful entry that speaks strongly to me! my own novel writing has been on hiatus for a long time… I’m 6 weeks out from hip replacement surgery so i’ve been hibernating in my sweet bear cave with a view…. waiting to see what the next weeks bring. Continued blessings for 2019!
Lane, so good to have a note from you. I was just asking someone about you this afternoon. Thank you for the blessings! To you as well! May we all experience this beautiful new creative energy that’s making itself known.
